Big Ben - Britain in Miniature collection

Big Ben, the most famous London landmark, sits atop the Clock Tower of the British Houses of Parliament in the heart of London by the River Thames.

Completed in 1858, the clock is massive with faces that are 23 feet square, and a minute hand of over 14 feet. The whole clock and tower are now known as Big Ben, but originally the name was given only to the thirteen ton bell whose chimes are instantly recognized not only in London, but have been broadcast all over the world by the BBC since 1922.
