With its cluster of pretty seventeenth-century limestone and brick cottages, it is easy to understand why Lower Weald (one of three hamlets which are collectively known as Calverton) has been designated a Conservation Area. Lilliput Lane started producing their miniature cottages in 1982. David Tate, the founder, opened workshops at Skirsgill, in England's Lake District, and the Company has remained in the area ever since.

The majority of cottages are based on real cottages and this precious item is a perfect example.
