RMS Titanic was owned by the White Star Line and constructed at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. She set sail on her maiden voyage, from Southampton heading to New York on 10th April 1912 with 2,223 people on board. At 11.40pm on the 14th April 1912 in the mid Atalantic Ocean, she hit an iceberg, and sank at 2.20am the following morning with the loss of of 1,513 people.
