Willow Tree by Susan Lordi figurative sculptures that speak in quiet ways to heal, comfort, protect and inspire.
The bright and boldly pink colour of these tulips can represent courage, strength and confidence. One of the earliest blooms in spring, tulips are associated with hope and renewal.
The large bouquet can represent one's community of support and friendship.
The figure includes a descriptive tent with sentiment
'Bold confidence and bright hopes for you'

"Willow Tree is an intimate personal line of hand-carved sculptures. Each represents a quality or sentiment that helps us feel close to others, heal wounds, or treasure relationships to living things. Expression is revealed through gestures only---a tilt of the head, placement of the hands, a turn of the body. Each piece is cast from my original carving, and then painted by hand.
"My hope is that the simplicity of these figures will communicate peace and serenity to you and those you love”
